Cycling tuition

One-to-one or small group (4 max) 

ideal for absolute beginners or returners who have lost confidence, I'll take you through the steps to navigating bike handling on easy routes. £55 per 90 min. I can provide a bike for these sessions, so you don't have to fork out before giving it a go. Ideal for a family group of up to 4 people, old and young. I can work you through the basics of cycling together safely and confidently so you can enjoy family away days or trips to the park or simply cycle with your kids to and from school or activities. This is suitable for beginners right up to some more advanced on-road work, depending on age and ability. There are some free sessions available funded through Cycling Scotland and I can provide bikes for larger children and adults for these sessions on request. £55 per 90 minute session. One-to-one confidence and road user lessons which will take you from basic cycling level to being able to ride on quieter roads and cycle networks. We'll focus on bike handling skills, highway code and road safety and positioning to make sure you get to where you want to go with ease. Ideal for those who want to progress from sticking to cycle lanes and parks, to smaller road journeys or commuting. 

£40 p/h. Own bike preferred. 

For those of you who want to travel a bit further or faster. We'll take you through the highway code, some confidence and awareness building and hone finer road skills so you can ride alone or in groups on busier and more major routes as well as country lanes and commuting. Perfect if you want to venture further afield, work towards ride leadership, cycle touring or ride with a cycling club or group. £90 per half day.  Own bike preferred. We will generally ride in a location that models where you plan to ride most, so some risk assessment will be done prior to each session.
